Environmental Examples
It really is a wonderful thing when whole groups (businesses and towns) decide to go green. Thankfully, a few already have! Here are only a couple of examples of "green" communities. (Including a video to the left about a "green" day care center)
Greensburg:
On May 4, 2007; a massive tornado hit and completely destroyed a small city in Kansas. On May 19, 2008; The city council approved the idea of rebuilding this town into a "green" community. All the heating is geothermal, all light bulbs are compact florescent, and even the building structure is environmentally friendly. Ted's Montana Grill:
There is a restaurant called "Ted's Montana Grill." This restaurant is owned by Ted Turner, he also owns TNT, the channel on television! Ted's is a very nice place to eat, and it is green, too! They have low-flow tolets, and togo cups made of corn so they are 100% biodegradable, even their place mats are made of recycled paper! Thats not even the half of it!
